# How to Assign Unit Pay for an Employee in HRIS

This article provides a step-by-step guide on assigning unit pay to an employee in HRIS, ensuring accurate compensation management

1.  Go to **AanyaHR** and Login to your account
    
2.  Go to **HRIS** \> select "**Employee**"

3.  Find the employee you wish to assign unit pay to, and click “**Edit**”

4.  Go to the “**Payroll”** tab and select "**Pay Scheme**," then choose "**Unit Pay**"

    Note: The monthly rate should be zero since we will upload unit pay for that employee. To upload unit pay, see the link below.

5.  Click the save icon to save the changes made

6.  This prompt message will appear; simply click "**Yes**”

7.  If changes are saved successfully, this prompt message will appear; click "**OK**
