# How to create Account Codes?

This article helps you to create account codes to assign in earnings, deductions and loans.

1.  Go to Admin

2.  Select Drop Down Settings

3.  Click the Create

4.  In Dropdown Name box, select Account Code

5.  Encode the Account Code in Dropdown Entry Box

6.  Select the status of the code.
    
      
    **Active:** Select this if it’s currently in use.
    
    **Inactive:** Select this if it won't be used and should be turned off.

7.  Click Add to encode another Account Code

8.  Then Save
