# How to create Cost Allocation? (Encoding Manually)

This article helps to create Cost Allocation by encoding manually

Manual creating

1.  Go to **AanyaHR** and log in to your account.

2.  Go to **Payroll** tab, then **Set-up**

3.  Select **Cost Allocation**

4.  Click **Create** button

5.  Choose the cost center to assign to the employee.

6.  Select **Employee Name**

7.  In percentage, indicate the percentage for the selected employee

8.  In **Frequency**, select how frequently to use the allocation.

9.  **Recurr Start** is the start of the cut-off where the allocation will be used.

10.  **Recurr End** is the end date where the allocation will be used.

11.  Choose the **Status** of the said allocation  
     **Active:** Select whether this is currently being used.  
     **Inactive**: Choose this if it is not in use and should be turned off.

12.  Then click **Save.**

13.  There is an option to add another row for another cost allocation before saving.
